An American artist born in Havana and raised in San Juan. William’s formal studies began in El Centro Nacional de Arte in San Juan followed by a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Living in Miami since 1991 and working on these Neo Tropicalismo paintings that explore the visual imagery of the Americas and the Caribbean, their cultural diversity, narrative and nature.
